THE ABSTRACT FOR NOMOSPHERIA III AT ABOA VETUS, ARS NOVA APRIL 18. 2018
Law and order translate in so many ways depending on where to textualize these names upon. This presentation focuses on problematising the ever so common notion of as if in the name of public thereness, in a place called Lahti at 60° 58’ 57 N, 25° 39’ 41 E.
The title of this presentation refers to the as if effective and efficient public governing of a town some 100 km north from Helsinki, yet as if not existing in the minds or imagination of many. The questions to answer, with the help of this paper, include: What is translation? What is subject? What is signature? What is the question of question?
In order to abbreviate the length of the possible answers to the above questions, I have chosen the following notes as well as perspectives, in order to lead the way:
- Managing Design: On the recent makeover of Lahti
- Getting Lost: Calling the U.S.S.R. on Aleksanterinkatu
- Writing Touch: Hölmölä empowering a logocentrism?
